These chairs, especially for the price are really elegant, - OVERALL. Ordered four, and as some other review have stated there ARE some issues with these chairs. Assembly is kind of a pain. Screw holes do not all line up, and the wooden dowels provided, do not fit tightly in the holes so I had to get creative. I had to use both gorilla glue and lock-tite (which I highly recommend otherwise they will be "wobbly" as some other reviewers pointed out). If you take extra time putting these together, they will be built to last. Use lock-tite on the screw holes and fill the wooden dowel holes with paper and gorilla glue, and tighten… a little minor surgery, and tighten ALL the screws, - and these chairs are built to last. Other problems include; snags and loose threads you will have to cut off. only one of the 4 chairs had a serious snag and i stopped it with some fabric glue and you can't even tell. To some people, this might be off-putting, but if you're a handy/patient person who can improvise, these chairs are VERY ELEGANT and sturdy for the price. Some of our friends are big, 250 - 300lb people and they are comfortable and the chairs are very sturdy. If you bought these in a furniture store, they would easily be 3x the price. A final note: the directions are lacking and confusing, but once you figure it out, its fairly simple. please see the photo of these 4 chairs in my dining room. Good luck.
