Perfect! After the small debacle of not getting the top delivered, it finally all came in and boy did it come together well. I absolutely love my island. It offers a large working surface and more drawers. Who doesn't need more drawers and working surface in a kitchen? Not to mention it is beautiful. I couldn't be happier!

Kitchen island This is a very nice piece for our kitchen. I was very impressed with the limestone top. We received it in about 2 weeks anew the delivery people were very helpful getting it inside. It is extremely heavy and comes in 2 pieces. The only thing I didn't like was the wheels. They are cast iron and don't turn very well. They will scratch your wood and tile floor. What look like thin drawers are actually baskets. The drawers and baskets are identical on both sides.

Love it, but a bit of a problem with the slate top I love the look of this island. It is very substantial (in fact, really, really heavy). It fits perfectly in my kitchen. However, I have noticed in the eight months since I bought this that the top is prone to developing whitish stains on it from things placed upon it. They are massively difficult to remove. I have no idea what is causing the stone to react this way. I can scrub them out, sort of. I assume that the stone is very porous and something is getting into the stone and causing the effect I observe. I don't know if the stone can be treated somehow to prevent this. I am contemplating treating the stone with mineral oil to see of that has an effect.

Love it! We bought this for our new kitchen instead of paying the cabinet guy to make one for us. It adds so much character to our kitchen. It is not quite as gray as it appears in the picture, but it still looks great. The top is really nice as well - VERY heavy! I didn't realize from the picture that it has the same drawers and bins on both sides.

Homeowner Excellent piece of kitchen furniture. We were actually going to have our builder build a very similar piece of furniture and purchased this island instead. Saved a lot of money and have been very happy with it. Gotten great comments from all visitors. Beware that soapstone top will show marks of things left on it. If you require pristine pieces with no personality this is not for you. We love the look of an antique piece and use it daily.

Hi, it's not hard to move on a flat surface, but it is heavy to move with the granite in it. If you are planning on moving it routinely on hardwood, it could be hard on the floor. However moving it to get it to that perfect spot in your kitchen, is not a problem at all.
