Read All Reviews for Deep Island wtih Flat Panel Doors and Drop Leaf

This item has a few sheets of plywood for the shelving and the sides, but everything else is real, solid wood. No particle board! Easy to assemble but it does take a little bit of time. (It took me two and 1/2 hrs) Looks amazing when completed. You will need to purchase butcher block mineral oil to rub it down once assembled. Worth the price.

I love this island. When we were putting it together, I was concerned that the wood grain was too inconsistent but once it was together, it looks great! We had a little trouble with the hardware for the drawer but we called and they immediately sent new parts I do have to lift up on the drawer to open it but that is not a big deal. Love the island, Loved the customer service.

This cabinet has a lot of storage! The fact that there isn't a separator in the lower cabinet allows for housing your big pots/pans/glassware, etc. Assembly wasn't easy, but I did put it together by myself (some of the reviews suggest it's a two person job). The tough part is that none of the parts are labeled. I strongly recommend identifying each piece as you unpack it. You only have the exact number of screws and some look like others. I used an incorrect small screw for the drawer sliders and they wouldn't work for example, so I had to take things apart and re-do. Had they have been labeled better, that wouldn't have happened. That is my only suggestion, but I really like the cabinet. Their customer service folks were very helpful.

I love this island. It is a great storage unit as well as a great place to work. I do a lot of baking and cooking and this adds just the right extra counter and storage space to my kitchen. You can use it for a cutting board, roll dough, and place hot pots from the oven on it. My husband was surprised at the quality when he put it together. Great quality for the price.

One of the doors was damaged. Instructions don't identify parts ( some other ready to assemble items from other companies are identified with stickers ABC etc.-this is extremely helpful in identifying parts) . Also, instructions are vague- "screw piece to top of door-does this mean on the 1 does this mean on the top, or at the top of the horizontal surface? The illustration points to the corner, where it doesn't go. More vague instructions-still working on it

Very happy with this product. The only complaint is the wood on the top seems to be unfinished but easily taken care of with some finiish

Very pleased with purchase. Needed extra storage and counter space and this served well. Moves about easily and able to use 2 stools at drop leaf. Glad my son-in-law put this together for me. Also it is made in America and in the Catskill Mountain area Of N.Y.

We ordered this island from another company, but there was a complication & they didn't ship for 2 weeks... While on hold I searched found the same island on Great Offer Stock & ordered it. The island arrived 3 days later! Wonderful quality & putting it together was part of the fun!

The only problem I had with this product is that the installation instructions were fairly horrible. There were several pieces of hardware that were nearly identical and were not clearly labeled. the drawings in the instructions did not fully match the product, so making sure things were in the right place was some trial and error. Other than that, it is a solid and attractive piece of furniture that greatly increased our kitchen storage potential.

The wood on the kitchen island cracked when I screwed in two different large important screws. Luckily I was still able to assemble the product but I am worried about how long the product will last. It's holding together for now and seems like it may stay together as long as I am not rough on it. Not the easiest thing to assemble and I needed 2 people sometimes. When first assembled, the top drawer stuck a little when opening and I had to lift up on it, but I repositioned the guide rail on the drawer and it works a little better. The island looks beautiful! That's why I am giving it 3 stars. I compared the price of most of the kitchen islands that looked like this and this was the cheapest for the size, but I am still surprised at the cost of the product compared to the quality.
