We bought the daybed for about three months now. The look of it is great everything to the picture. I did use a XL twin 10 inch for the top and twin size 8 inch for the bottom. Just took about two hours to put together. I would give this a five star if it doesn't squeak when the kid jump on it.

Nice Looking Daybed Assembly went smoothly and the end result is a great looking piece of furniture. Seems solid. We added a 12" memory foam mattress. Kind of tall to sit on, but still comfortable. The trundle acts as storage space for extra bedding materials.

Looks Great Really love the look of this daybed & trundle. Ordered it in grey and the color was just as pictured online. Easy to put together. We added plywood under the mattress as it is used regularly and wanted to add just a little more firmness. It holds over 300 lbs on daybed alone, with no creaking or swaying. Highly recommend this for any guest room or a bedroom with a more tailored look.

Daybed Review I ordered the trundle version after reading previous reviews. It arrives in three boxes. I put this product together myself in less than two hours. I had my husband tighten all joints with a drill afterwards. I bought a XXX mattress from Mattress Firm that dropped right in the top bed. Because of previous reviews, I thought fitting the bottom mattress would be a challenge so I didn't buy one for the bottom YET. The mattress I bought for the top dropped right into the bottom slot with no problem. The only issue is, it is ten 1/2 inches thick and I must lift the couch slightly to slide the bottom back with this thick mattress. I'm a sixty-year old woman and it was no problem. I planned to buy a thinner mattress for the bottom but my husband said no. He feels the slight inconvenience of lifting the couch 1" off the floor to pull the trundle in and out is worth it to have our guests (who come two week a year) comfortable. (A 9" mattress would slide easily) My only complaint about this product is the linen had a couple of snags. DON'T CUT THEM OFF. I used a small needle and poked them back into the stitching. They are now invisible. I searched the city of Albuquerque and all the daybed trundles were either metal or wood. This had the modern look I was seeking. I have no regrets on purchasing this product.

Cute but HUGE I purchased this daybed to use in our guest room which is small and this bed is HUGE!! It's a beautiful piece though. A couple of things to note though, a normal twin is too small. There are several inches on the end of the mattress. You need at least a 10 in thick mattress to cover the gap in the back. With an 8" mattress, a child would fall through. Pillows will hide the gap, but it's not safe for sleeping - I recommend putting children on the trundle. The trundle slides easily even on carpet and slides completely away from the top bed. It can be placed on the other side of the room. When pushed under the bed, it fits perfectly. So far, we love it!

Great piece for the price Once assembled, all the exterior parts look great. Very comfortable and the color is nice and unassuming that goes with almost anything. The trundle can fit a mattress or just extra storage. Some of the construction materials are a little "thrifty" but they are fine where it counts. It's an excellent product for the price point, and nice to find a daybed that gives the warmth of cloth.

I had no problem fitting the twin XL mattress in the frame - but I would advise going to at least an 11 inch thickness. I purchased a 10 inch and there is a visible gap between the backboard and the mattress. I can hide it with pillows, but I wish I had gotten a bigger one.

The Twin XL mattress works great. We have several extra sheet sets for queen size beds so we tried one before buying sheets for it. The queen sheets work just fine so no need to buy the expensive and hard to find Twin XL sheets. This day bed is in my husband's office and we rarely have to use it for a guest room. I would say the bed frame itself isn't sturdy enough for every day use.

I purchased a twin XL foam mattress so the fit is snug but there is a lot of give with foam mattress. This mattress does not fit the trundle bed so I am still looking for a mattress for that. From my measurements the trundle will fit a regular twin mattress.

While most customers prefer to use a twin XL with the INSPIRE Q Deco Linen Rolled Arm Daybed, you can use a twin size if you prefer.

A XL Twin is 4 inches longer than a regular twin. The XL fits the frame perfectly without having to force or squeeze the mattress into the frame. You could put regular-twin sized mattress on it, but you will have a gap of a little over two inches on either side. You could push the twin sized mattress flush against one side and fill the four-inch gap at the other end with pillows, but be aware that it will be a noticeable difference. Even though the sheet options were limited, I'm glad I opted for the longer mattress. XL Twin sheets are easiest to find in August and September when college students go back to school as the XL Twin mattress is fairly common in dorm rooms. As a side note, make sure that which ever length mattress, you get one that is fairly deep. The ten-inch mattress I bought to go in this shows a little gap in the back where the back of the daybed doesn't drop all the way down to the base of the bed frame.
