For this length, this is the most amazing price! I have a 12' picture window set in a 14' bay, and I was in sticker shock when I started to research rods (and drapes). I was so happy to find this rod! I chose white after considering all the colors (except black I think!). The walls and drapes are pale and the white just disappears, rather than drawing the eye down. These rods went up smoothly, although long and heavy so a second person was necessary for us.
As others have noted, you will get two packages of 144" rods. We did not find the instructions for merging, but it wasn't that hard to figure out. You will have a section left over (as well as extra finials, but they won't fit the extra piece, oh well!); that's why 2x144 equals 240 not 288. Decide where you want the center support(s) to fall and choose the correct thumb screw for the diameter of the rod at that point. We used only one center support for that long span! fortunately our drapes are very light in weight despite being black-out and insulated.
