This is a nice look. We chose white. I had to get longer ( 3) aluminum screws. The ones you will use to pull the rod off to change the main curtain, broke before we even hung it. Test the screws! The hardware store had many! We got one inch size. longer than the 1/2 inch ones they provided, and drilled the whole a bit wider for bigger strength screws, in the top of the main rod. Easy when you live with a builder with tools! It is holding some heavy curtains and sheers inside with the center support. I wanted to have the sides sit farther off the doors so the curtain can sit back off the doors glass. These work because the two sides are adjustable and the center can sit on the top trim wood. Size 84 length is easy for packaged curtains...I had to mount the rod to accommodate a standard length curtain. Hope they don't shrink when I wash them! Prewash curtains to check height??? The center smaller rod is two half rods so that means the curtains in the small rod can not be stacked on just one side of the rod and these inner rods "hook" to the sides of the mounts. This will mean if you want to slide the sheer off the view..the whole rod unit will have to be mounted several inches even wider. It looses some of its strength that wide. Had I known I would have gone with an even wider rod for strength. The main rod is one rod but has three adjustable lengths within this one length..so just balance either side for strength.. I have a set of 6 ft sliders. So I gave it three stars..if you are handy it is a four star but I would have struggled on my own with this rod. My builder husband did it in no time at all once he got the extra supplies. He gave it a four star..He liked that it had adjustable sides to sit off the wood on the sides and on wood in the middle. He has hung many much more complicated units for homeowners.
