I knew I wanted a food processor... but I didn't realize that I needed one. This has simplified so many things for me and the power of this motor is incredible. One of my favorite things to make is honey roasted peanut butter and I can pour almost a half can of peanuts in this baby and it grinds the peanuts up without missing a beat. I add my honey, butter, and olive oil and we have the best peanut butter you will ever taste. Make it chunky, or make it creamy, or both... your choice! Tonight I used it to make scallop potatoes and ham... It makes it a snap... the potatoes come out perfectly sliced, no need to peel... the slicing blade is adjustable so you can make them as thin as you like. I have to say it took longer to peel the onions and clean the potatoes than it did to slice them. I then used the shredder attachment to shred my cheese. Next, sliced the onions and cucumbers for a side dish. Easy, peasy! The case that the attachments come in is great and it is wonderful to keep them all in one place. It cleans up in the dishwasher, and having the 3 different size bowls is a plus too. I will never buy any more bread crumbs when they are so easy to make up in this processor. Tomorrow I want to try homemade mayonnaise. I have also used it as a mixer for cookies... perfect! To mix up my favorite recipe for pie crust is simple using this machine. I really can't say enough good things about the quality of this machine.

Cuisinart's Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor is certainly expensive, but in many ways, you get your money's worth with this large, heavy-duty model. The appliance's blades lock into the bowl, so they won't budge when you're pouring out food. Likewise, the lid fits snugly and keeps liquids from seeping out. The unit also comes with two extra sets of lids and bowls and a case to store attachments.

Lovely piece of equipment for those of us who love making pasta and breads. This is an upgrade for a Cuisineart owner of many years.
