Kitchen Aid has long been a name associated with me with quality products and great service. Even the little things like this are comparable to the OXO series. I wanted a colander without an additional 'foot' since the foot is usually cheaply attached and comes off after only a few years of boiling water. This one is sturdy and durable, and has withstood numerous kitchen abuses. But Lord, how does one remove the nuclear stickers? They are attached to this tool with extra-stubborn glue! Was there an issue with miscreants stealing colanders from high-end, glossy department stores? Or perhaps a loss of these en masse from Arctic schooners? I do not know. I am still trying to remove the stickers, after 3 months of dishwashering, hand-washing and regular use.
