I received this lamp last night. It arrived packaged nicely. It is a little more rustic looking than I expected and the knob on the top to hold the shade does not fit securely. The shade is darker than I expected, but I like it. It looks very good in the space where I wanted to place it and is not to big.

Quality control fail The knob on top that holds the shade in place was screwed completely off center, which meant it and the shade sat crooked. Yes, you can typically bend lamp shades to make it work, but not this one. One side of the base was higher than the other. Just an overall fail. Terrible quality. Great Offer Stock was very apologetic and helpful with the return, but that is the only positive with this purchase.

Beautiful and classy! Gorgeous color! We have two in our master bedroom. We've had them over a month and they are still the first thing I notice when I enter. A great pop of color! The lamp is proportioned well with the shade. The acrylic base is not noticed at all. I had concerns about the ceramic glaze from the photo but it is really nicely done! Every lamp will take a glaze a pinch differently anyway. The style of the lamp allows you to blend with many different styles of decorating. Very well made and designed! 3-way switch is also great. Packaging for lamp was superb. Overall, fabulous deal!

I cannot answer the portion of your question regarding the color since I purchased the turquoise, but as far as the finial, the metal portion is silver and the finial top is a bulb the same color as the turquoise lamp. Since the shade is a decent size, you don't see any of it though.

Yes, it is acrylic. However, you don't notice the bottom of the lamp when you walk into the room. These ceramic lamps are beautiful! I've had ours for over a month in our master bedroom and they are the first thing I still notice upon entering. A great pop of color and very rich looking and nice proportion with the shade.
