The lift top surface does not align with the portion of the table top that does not lift up. The difference is between 1/4 and 1/2 centimeter. If you push down on the lift top, it will even out, but as soon as you release, it pops back up.

We had been in the market for the West Elm industrial coffee table, but it was almost triple the price! This table is CRAZY affordable (free shipping) and only took 20 mins to assemble. I am delightfully surprised by the space inside too. The only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the springs aren't perfect and it doesn't lay 100% flush. But it's still great!!!

Haven't had this a year, and parts have chipped off already.

I like the looks and it's sturdy, but it is incredibly hard for me to lift the top and it never closes flush witout extra effort. I just have to work harder to use it than I thought I would.

Loves this table.. Its great for sitting on the sofa and watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn..

The price is good, the size is good, it lifts fairly easily. Color is a little different from picture. The grain in the wood was darker than expected but it does look nice. The area under the lift top is very convenient and functional. The only thing I was disappointed in was the finish. It's like a paper/plastic fake covering on wood. I thought it was finished wood buts it's not. It also doesn't seem super restistant to scratches or wear and tear.but for $* plus free shipping, I am happy with product.

Bought it for my husband who likes to everything at the couch and now he has storage to put everthing away from the grand children.
