    Not too heavy, but the set proved to be steady in our 35 mph wind last week. [I do have an umbrella stand in mine.] It's small, two people, but it looks nice. I think It's well worth the price.

    This set will do great outside. Protective Qualities: Decay Resistant, stain-resistant, Water resistant, Rust-resistant, Fade-resistant.

    It is cast aluminum with steel fasteners, so it's definitely weatherproof. I'm in Southern California so long periods of rain are not an issue anyway, but long periods of baking sun are. Time will tell, but the only possible problem could be fading of the finish over time, but that's not likely, except over a long period. The seats are comfortable, but rather small and of course, hard. Little 15" or 16" cushions make sitting on them for longer periods more pleasant. I like the little set a lot.

    When we purchased the set, it was a bronze color. We had a bench in the same design that was 10 years old. We painted the table & chairs black with a few lightly sprayed touches of forest green to match the bench. We used the spray cans that say outdoor gloss. The table is over a year old and the bench much older. Great buy. Good size for tea for two.

    While the seat is 16 inches without the foot adjustments, it is about 16 1/4 inches with the feet. In addition, the feet allow for about 1/2 inch of adjustment. As started by malibutimes, I find it quite comfortable and frequently have lunch with my spouse while sitting at the table.

    I really don't recommend the chairs for sitting, especially for any duration of time. I primarily have this on my back deck for ambience and the beauty it provides. I would suggest getting some wicker chairs with deep, thick cushions for comfortable seating.
