Arrived a few days early and was full size within a few hours of unwrapping. It's best to place in the bed before unwrapping. Keep the room well ventilated for at least 24 hours. Actual measurement is almost 14-inches, but will vary a little by mattress. I Put it in the guest room for my mother in law and she tried it the next night. By the second morning she was begging for info to buy the exact one (She bought 2). EVERYONE thinks memory foam is "to" firm when they first try it. Be patient. You'll probably come around. If not, buy a softer foam topper. Id say give it at least 3 weeks of mindfulness about how you feel in the morning Before buying the topper that truly isn't necessary for most. **Always buy a "breathable" waterproof mattress pad. If it doesn't breathe you'll feel like you're sleeping on sand. Great Offer Stock has a large variety. They cost more than your average pad but this is where your extra $ will make a difference with sleep quality. I've been buying memory foam mattresses from Great Offer Stock for 10 years now. We have 5 kids and now a guest room. So, I buy a LOT of mattresses! The price is incredible with shipping and I've never had a problem with any of them. I would recommend a thickness of at least 12 inches for adults. Our bed is 14 and perfect! My younger kids have 8 inch, which is fine for them, but I notice when I sit on it since I weigh more. I also recommend buying for thickness and not getting caught up in the "differences" like gel or cooling that hike up the price with little change in quality (I seriously can't tell a difference at all on my "cooling gel" compared to styles like this one). Instead be sure to use only 100% natural fiber sheets, blankets and pajamas if you tend to get hot at night. Linen is best, 100% cotton also does the trick. Buy this mattress! You will not regret it! When I first got this I was disappointed as it seemed smaller than a queen size mattress and it had no tags of any kind on it. However, after a few days it did expand to a standard queen size. It's one of the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on.

I purchased this mattress for my self and I love it. I also bought one for my son and his wife and they love it too.

I purchased this mattress for my new showroom, so I don't sleep on it all night; only nap on it occasionally. It's very firm; which I didn't expect. I imagine after time it will soften a bit. It only took about 2 hours to re-inflate from it packing into a 18"x18"x5' box. Be careful when you open the box, it starts to expand and can knock you down; although it didn't happen. The overall quality appears to be excellent. I'm thinking of purchasing another one at a later date for my houseboat.

I was quite hesitant about buying a mattress online. Mattresses are such a personal preferrance that one has to test it out first. I love foam/memory foam. I will never go back to spring mattresses. I like my mattress more on the firm side as I am an active person and need the back support. I have read many reviews and some complained that it was too soft. I was a bit skeptical. Since this bed was for my lakehouse I knew it would not be used daily. So for the value, I had to give it a try. Sooo glad I did too. Shipping was free fast and easy. Mattress returned to normal shape after opening the vacuum seal in about 2-3hrs. No smell. And most important, the mattress was not soft. Firm suppport with a little cushion on top.

Very comfortable. Started out a little firm but slowly started to soften to the perfect comfort level. I bought it for the guest room but slept on it all week because I like it so much.

It really feels great sleeping on this mattress. You won't know a good thing until you've had a bad one. my husband loves it. My only "BUT," is the length. I am 5'7 and it fits me but my husband is 6'1. other than that "I love it."

I am really happy I made this choice. I was looking for mattresses since weeks. I have a twin size meomry foam matresses but I wanted to buy Queen size. This mattress is soft on top but really nice and firm. Excellent sleeping. NO smell when I opened it . I am such a happy Customer and I would order this mattress again in a heartbeat. :)

Do not worry if you are looking at this mattress. I worried, at first, that it wouldn't bed thick enough because I was using on a platform bed. The platform sits about 12 inches from the ground and this mattress was/is perfect to use and so so so comfortable - a little firm but very comfortable
