It's ok We tried this for the first time yesterday. We've always done our bacon in the over except on foil, flat. The grease on this pan comes out very clean, if you want to use it for your eggs or if you make bacon gravy. However I'm not thrilled with the way the bacon looks after cooking, although there's less shrinking it just doesn't get very brown. Before you know it you've over baked it. Trial and error, I hope we figure out the exact time to get it perfect. I'm sure the only reason it doesn't brown is because it's not sitting in the grease, which of course makes it healthy.

I think it would work better then the cookie pan. The bacon rack has points that would hold the steak up and allow the grease to drip down. As a side little tip, I always line the pan the with foil. When done, let the grease cool and you can pick up the foil and throw away the grease.
