This is our second purchase of this bed. Yes, the stickers are an absolute pain in the butt and yes, our son pulled the stickers off the first bed we bought (which we gave to a friend when we moved out of state). As well, I recommend shoring up the fin by construction-gluing a wood block near each inside end if your child is a climber/jumper like ours. On the first bed, our son broke the fin off by climbing on it - the screws stripped from the frequent "wobbling" and the thing pulled right off. Since it's not supported in the center in any way, it's bound to happen IF your child is a climber. As well, a standard boxspring and mattress will not be high enough to reach the level of the bed's sides - I purchased a 2" memory foam topper and that resolved that issue (there are no supports underneath; it is a "shell" only and your boxspring will sit on the floor). The foam topper also helped resolve the gap issue between the mattress/boxspring and the bed itself. Lots of caught feet and "lost" toys before hand. Yes, there are a LOT of potential issues with the bed, but if your kid is a Cars/Lightning McQueen fanatic like our son, there are always work-arounds worth it for a happy kiddo.
If my son were rating this bed he'd give it one million billion INFINITY stars. However, a couple things for the adults out there- yes the stickers are a pain. You are trying to line up several large stickers in specific spots over curved plastic...I would recommend some deep breathing or wine before you start. I was very slow and meticulous about it and I still ended up with a few bubbles. Also, if you want the edges of the bed to be higher than the mattress (this is my little ones first big boy bed) you have to place the mattress directly on the floor - we couldn't even put a box spring under it without making the bed too high. We did purchase a mattress through Great Offer Stock that was very comfortable so it worked fine for me. My main reason for removing one star is that the inner lining of the bed is completely unfinished and unattractive- and it is exposed around the edge of the mattress. I wish the manufacturers had at least created a few inches of "finished" look around the inner edge of the bed. Overall we are very happy with the purchase!
We bought a new house in August and I have been trying to figure out how I want to decorate my kids’ rooms. My two-year-old is really into Cars/Lightning McQueen so this bed was perfect for that. He hasn’t willingly left his room since we bought it. The 9.5” mattress we bought currently sits on the ground but it would probably accommodate a 5” low rise boxspring underneath it without being too much above the bed but if it were much taller it might not fit under the fin. I deducted a star for the stickers which don’t adhere to the plastic very well and if your kids are little they will get one of the corners and peel it... so maybe glue them down? Also, the little lights are cool because they automatically shut off so you don’t have to worry about your kids draining the batteries on them by leaving them on and leaving the room. Cool little car!
A wonderful bed. My Grandson loves it, and all his friends want one. This bed is sturdy, and brightly colored. He has had this bed, over a year now, and it is going strong.

I bought this bed for my grandson and he immediately fell in love with it. Of course having it delivered and letting my son and daughter-in-law put it together was a good idea. The first time I visited after delivery my grandson couldn't wait to drag me to his bedroom to see his Lightning McQueen bed! He was so happy with it and couldn't stop showing me all the decals. But the best part was his smile, he was so happy and couldn't stop smiling and telling me thank you. I give it 4 stars only because it didn't hold up to the everyday use of a 6 year old but well worth the cost to make him so happy.
Looked great. Assembled fine. It’s beauty didn’t last as my kids peeled off the decals pretty easily.
My son is 5 very rambunctious. The bed itself sits on the floor and has nothing to hold it up. My son loves it but has torn it completely up and did so with the first year of having it. It is of course a heavy plastic but if your child's heavy-duty i cant recommend.
