Overall, the assembled buffet looks great and we are really happy with it. If you get down on your hands and knees, it's obvious that this is not a fine piece of furniture, but we certainly didn't pay for one and it fits perfectly with our glass, metal and wood table and leather chairs. Perhaps there has been an update in the instructions, but we found them very well laid out and clear. We did have to dig to find the instruction booklet, mind you, but the diagrams were clear and the explanations complete and concise. Assembly took about 2 hours. All the holes lined up perfectly. The hardware isn't great quality, but it fit perfectly and functions well. In hindsight, I wish I had used some wood glue for the dowels to make tighter joints. Be very careful not to over tighten screws. It would be very easy to strip some of the holes. If you want a nice looking pieces of furniture at a very reasonable price, and you are semi-handy with screw driver and able to follow instructions, don't hesitate to the this buffet.
