This buffet exceeded my expectations. It's very high quality. Even the glass shelves are good quality. The adjustment pieces that hold the shelves are metal and have grippers that keep the glass from sliding out of place. All hinges are adjustable. The furniture is solid, heavy, and evenly and beautifully finished.
This buffet comes in two boxes. It is very heavy! Each box is over 60 pounds. Be sure to take a full part inventory before beginning assembly. Read the instructions a few times before starting so you know your assembly order and strategy. Place the panels on the floor in the order they are needed, with the ones you need first closet to you, or if stacked, on top. It is possible for one person to put together, as long as you don't rush it. I am a woman, and I built it singlehandedly in a few hours. Assembly is tricky in a couple of places, like putting the top on and aligning the pins. (I am an engineer, so my logical mind allowed me to organize and visualize the process.) If you are in doubt at all, then ask someone for assistance.
Assembly aside, this unit looks so lovely in my dining room and love the extra storage it gives me.
