Very nice set. Well balanced forged high carbon steel, not a stamped steel set. They have held an edge very well and and stay razor sharp with light honing. I use the bottom of a ceramic coffee cup method between uses. I mostly use the chef knife but I have no complaints when grabbing a random knife from the block on occasion. All have been of same quality and sharpness. The steak knives have actually remained sharp over the months with daily usage. You will quickly notice the weight difference if you have only used stamped steel knives in the past, but like I said they are well balanced. Stamped steel can be just as sharp in the beginning, but they don't stay sharp long. These knives are a great deal even at normal pricing.
