Looks like ***. Ladder shelves can be decorated for a classy urban look or a shabby beach look. These shelves are well-made and look fantastic.

The 3 separate shelves definitely don't line up exactly but it's hard to tell. Easy to put together, looks great. Would buy again!

These bookshelves are great to put up against a wall that needs some height and then items on the shelves to flesh out a room.

The shelves are easy to assemble and look great when they line a wall. You get a deal for the three of them compared to other products or other stores.

There were a few damage's, I call and received a replacement parts but I like it overall.

We bought this set for our home about a year ago. We like it so much when my husband's office at work was remodeled, we decided to buy this ourselves to put in his office. He gets a lot of compliments on it.

I really like these shelves. I looked high and low for quality bookshelves in this style and this was, by far, the best value and quality. The shelves are nice wood, not a veneer or pressed board, which is rare in the "ready to assemble" furniture market. I think they could fit any style and décor. I personally wanted black shelves that didn't completely darken up my living room which is what led me to the ladder style. My wall color shows through and gives the shelves almost an "airy" feel to them. I have them filled with books and décor items and they are holding steady. I put them together by myself--36 year old stay at home mom--but I am pretty handy with tools and such. Although, I would suggest having a cordless drill with a hex head handy instead of the little allen wrench that comes with the set. My only (small) complaint is that the set is shipped in two separate boxes and mine arrived on different days. When I tracked them online, they traveled together but went "out for delivery" on two consecutive days. Seems to me Overstock/FedEx could've saved themselves some time & money, but still wasn't a big deal to me. I got to practice putting the first one together by itself before the other two came.

I am so disappointed in my LeaningLadder Shelf. While i really love the concept, one of my ladders was delivered with a few broken wood pieces having fallen off from its side bar.. It also has some serious aesthetic issues with one shelf: The dark paint ? had been scratched or peeled off thereby exposing a large light area beneath. That flaw is not a big deal, i can try to match the top color and paint it, but the broken pieces require some serious gluing. Currently, It sits disassembled in a corner until my handy son gets to fix it. And frankly I now worry whether that ladder will hold more than 2 pieces of paper, its integrity having been ruined. It's not as if the ladders came free of charge. . If i wanted a piece of junk i would have scoured my local streets. So why didn't i return it? As most sellers know, many customers would rather not deal with the hassle. I'm one of those. Much too unwieldily for me to deal with. Sadly, this was my first order with Great Offer Stock. I really thought i had found some answers to shopping. It appears not. .

The shelves went together easily with 3 exceptions, but those exceptions are important. 1. On the first shelf that I put together the metal cam lock used on the shelf foot broke when I twisted to tighten in. This is a metal piece and it literally broke into two pieces. 2. The shelves are assembled in two pieces: the top two shelves and the bottom three. You then join the two pieces together by fitting the top piece over two wooden dowels on the bottom piece. On both the units I've put together there's almost a 1/4" gap between the top and the bottom pieces.. Very cheap looking. (Even trying to hammer the top shelf down more securely onto the bottom shelf didn't work.) 3. Finally, the wood dowels appear to be made from incredibly cheap material. They have no strength to them. I've put together a lot of furniture (my whole kitchen is*****) and I really think that for the price, these shelves were no bargain.

On a whole we love them! It took us about an hour to put them together and we are both assembly challenged. They look good can hold my pictures and books. ( don't make it too heavy) I would highly recommend them.

I was excited to unpack my books. Two typical sized book boxes full fit nicely with room for displaying the books interestingly. Before I purchased I read a review that emphasized the fact that these shelves do not need to be used together. I have the three that I purchased in s eparate rooms of my apartment. Each single shelf looks great by itself. The assembly was amazingly easy and I'm not particularly good at assembling. Great value!

The shelves were just what I needed for all of my scrapbook supplies. Lower two shelves easily fit the 12x12 paper containers. I worried that the upper shelves would be too small but they are actually roomy enough to store many items like my stamps, tape, ribbon, etc. I am very pleased with this purchase.

When I ordered I thought this was one complete unit - it's not. It's three separate shelves that you can put side by side or put separately. This wasn't a big deal but it was something that I think should be pointed out in the product description. The shelves product a lot of room for display and *some* books. Most ladder shelves, these included, would not be up to taking the weight of a lot of heavy, hardback books, but for my purpose of mostly displaying pottery, some office supply tubs and bins, and a few books it will work out fine. Shipping is in TWO separate boxes. They came the same day but about 4 hours apart. Assembling was not too difficult and they will be easy to move around. A great modern, minimalist look that is very open shelving. Lays nicely against the wall and is steady sitting on carpet.
