Moving into my new place I didn't want to spend a lot of money on new furniture, but I really needed a new bed frame. I was looking for a simple platform with clean lines. This was exactly what I wanted. The reviews are great, but there are enough negative ones that made me nervous once the box arrived. I almost returned it even before I opened it. BUT... I decided to go for it. Nothing was broken, it was packed well. There are a LOT of screws, but it's all very clear where they go. I was 2 screws short on the rail lips, but I put it together with the 12 I had (I'll go buy two screws and add them at some point.) Assembly was easy, albeit a little time consuming. I did it all by myself except for the part when you need to flip the entire thing over to then drill in the slats. The slats are pre drilled, but the lip into which you are drilling them is not. So the advice you will read on using a power drill is valid. Luckily I have a power drill. It was easy. I have a box spring and mattress on the frame, Queen size. I've slept on it 3 nights now... and it seems sturdy. It looks GREAT. I'm very happy. I got it on sale for just under $$$, and for that, you just can't beat it. It's real wood, nice finish, not A+ quality, but certainly better than most stuff I've seen.
