I've only had this bed for a day, but the ease of putting together was a breeze. I'm a lone woman and put it together by myself. It comes with all the tools that you need, all the parts/screws/washers needed (including a few extra), which is a definite plus for an assembly-required product. Shipment to my was was ridiculously fast. I wasn't expecting until January 2nd, but it arrived Dec 24, 2 days after ordering. The bed itself is a subtle, almost matte gold with silver. It's a nice color and good for someone looking for a little change (not wood, not black), but not ready to commit to something brassy in color. I'm going for a gypsy/boho theme, so this will be perfect. Bed more or less looks exactly as pictured.
The hardest part of assembly was step 1, which was holding a hex nut still with one hand and wrench, while turning the screw with the Allen wrench in the other hand, all while trying to hold the foot to the railing. If you're a bit clumsy, this is a challenge by yourself. I managed it though and the rest of the bed was a breeze. Everything seems solid, like it will stay in place, not not cheap. Quality product for the price point. I highly recommend this bed if you're looking for a slightly unique platform bed. Comes in three boxes FYI.
Protip with the headboard: don't tighten all the screws when mounting to the platform bed part until you have the screws partly aligned in all 4 holes. I'd tightened on one side but this caused misalignment on the other side, which was remedied once loosening that other side a bit.
