This armoire is not only unique and beautiful, it is also a sturdy piece of quality furniture.
In my opinion the description "Keller Blue Antique" is misleading. In my opinion this has more tones of mint, or pistachio, than blue. However, while I was surprised to see the color being greener tones than I expected upon opening up the package; (side note - packaged extremely well) I loved it and thought it was a little more eastern and modern than the Keller Bue I was imagining - which to me in this photo looks kind of like a color that was big in the 80's - and a little country-like. I don't want to scare anyone off from looking at this armoire by stating that the color shown here is wrong. It is definitely very close and is in the tone-range that the picture shows, just a little more minty and slightly lighter.
The top compartment with a mirror is wonderful - great ring storage!
All drawers are lined in a felt-like fabric (although not too cushy - just protective).
In one of the drawers I put 4 acrylic silverware organizers to store and keep bracelets divided.
In a few of the other drawers I used 6" L x 10" W x 1 3/8" H stackable 15 compartment jewelry trays (also come in 5 compartment trays) to divide up some of my earrings and small necklaces, while putting some of the larger, clunkier necklaces and sunglasses to the sides of these trays.
There is some wasted space on the sides of the armoir, where one would hang their longer necklaces. I do like this space though because a few of my necklaces need to hang or will easily become tangled. I might however install a few extra hooks halfway down the sides of these compartments for extra storage.
As stated in other reviews, the feet of the armoir are stored in the bottom drawer and can be hard to get out. I was very grateful to the reviewer maggiej for pointing out that if you pull the drawer slightly out, and feel under the drawers you can press up on the two plastic pieces that stop the drawers from coming all the way out and then you will be able to pull out that drawer to easily access the feet that need to be screwed on - which is the only assembly that needs to be done.
Another reviewer mentioned that that the drawers did not slide out as far as they would like, which I completely agree with. I used the same method as above to pull out each drawer and I clipped off not quite 1/4 inch off of each plastic drawer stop so the drawers slide out further. Obviously if you cut off too much, a drawer will fall out when opened, so I would take care if doing this to just snip off a little at first.
I am very happy with this purchase. I have shied away from getting a jewelry armoire because to me many look stuffy, and old-fashioned or too elegant.
This piece is perfect for me, neither too modern or too antique in appearance.
