Beautiful piece, but...
This is a beautiful piece, both the cabinet (which is solid wood, very sturdy and well-constructed) and the Carrera top. However, the top did not fit the vanity when our contractor went to install it. The square sinks are large, and they are mounted too close to the front of the slab, not leaving enough clearance for the top to fit where it's meant to. You physically cannot move it so that the front edge is flush with the vanity, leaving it about 1/2" short. I contacted Great Offer Stock and we decided to have a replacement shipped, after I was assured several times that the manufacturer (Wyndham Collection) would place the replacement top on the vanity we ordered to make sure it fit prior to shipping. They said their policy is to have all replacement parts shipped within 5 business days, and this was a Monday. After hearing nothing, I contacted Great Offer Stock again to check progress, and they had never processed the replacement part order so there had been none. They did give me a credit for my troubles, and processed the order. I ended up calling almost daily to check in, did run into another sang or 2, and finally just contacted Wyndham myself. They were so nice, were aware of my issue and said that had never happened before. We ended up receiving the new top, which fit BETTER, but still not as it should have. Luckily it was something that our contractor could remedy by altering the vanity cabinet itself to allow for more room for the sinks.
It seems as though the square sinks fpr this top/vanity combo are just too big. As I said, we did eventually fix the issue, and it looks great, but it took 3+ weeks to resolve and now we have an extra vanity top sitting in our garage that we need to sell or I guess give away.
