Love it I've had this item over a year and have been very happy with it. I hired my carpenter to put it together and put it up. He was impressed with the quality and price of the pergola saying that he could not have purchased the materials and built it for the price I paid for it.

Great Buy Needed to replace old metal pergola that was beginning to rust badly. After much research, I settled on this 10X12 cedar pergola. I felt the price was excellent and paid my carpenter to put is up on my pool deck. It looks great and I never have to worry about rust, or upkeep. It is heavy enough that it did not need to be bolted down on the concrete pool deck, like I had to do with the old metal one. I couldn't be more pleased and I recommend this item highly..............10 stars. I should add that the delivery man brought the two heavy boxers up and place them exactly where I needed them so I could cover them with a tarp until my carpenter was ready to assemble and put it up.. .

Stunning! I purchased this pergola to break up a very plain and open back yard, and to be a little shade/ privacy producing over my built in hot tub. I live in an area that gets gusty Santa Ana winds at times so flimsy metal or plastic pergola wouldn't do. I ordered this and it arrived within 3 weeks. My 2 sons and husband put it together in about 6 hours. It wasn't difficult but was time consuming. This large, heavy, elegant, beautiful piece could not be better in any way. It smells heavenly and looks perfect! I am so happy with it!

Very hard to put together, but beautiful I bought this for our home which is flooded with sunlight every afternoon on our deck. The trucking company that brought it had to double wrap it in plastic as the box was falling apart. Upon opening it I found one of the pieces broken and one of the posts gouged out where the box had been thrown around? Luckily the broken piece glued together well and I was able to use it. There were three of us and it took us FOREVER to put it even partly together. We quit at 10:00 pm as soon as we got it stable enough to stand by itself. The bolt caps did not want to thread onto some of the bolts no matter how we squared the posts and joists. and some of the holes did not match up with each other making putting in the bolts very difficult. On the positive side, it is going to be beautiful in spite of the problems and I intend to buy another one. It smells fantastic and with the bamboo I bought will make a nice shady spot. We will get a can of WD-40 for the bolts next time as well and maybe one more person to help.

This is NOT 10 x 12! Read the fine print The actual inside dimensions are much smaller. Advertising 10 x 12 is misleading! To say I am disappointed is putting it mildly. It IS a nice pergola and not worth the hassle of returning but I think it should be listed better as far as clear measurements.

Great pergola! Took my wife and I about 6 1/2 hours to put this together. Once we got the first 2 "columns" in place, then attached it to the second 2 "columns," the process was much easier. It says to have 2 adults put this together, but getting started I would recommend 3 (but in all fairness, we did it with 2 so I guess it all worked out). Also, the instructions say to put the "feet" on the columns LAST! I would strongly recommend putting the feet into the concrete when you are SURE you know where you want to put this. Otherwise you're going to have to lift the assembled pergola UP to put the feet/concrete footings in place!! Then move it onto the footings! (Remember, this pergola weighs about 1000 pounds!!) Having said all that, the pergola looks great! Just like the picture! Smells great! we couldn't be happier! I highly recommend this item. You won't be sorry! :-)
