My apartment, which is in a historic building, came furnished with older furniture - but no bookshelf. This classy piece fit right in! It stores all of my books - I was expecting it to be too small but it actually fit much more and I have plenty of room for more! An hour or less to assemble - make sure you have a standard Phillip's head screwdriver and a hammer.

While this product is not easy to put together alone, I managed it. An extra pair of hands would help! It is solid and sturdy and has a look of quality. It comes with a strap for attaching it to the wall and the bookcase is more sturdy with the strap than without. I would recommend this product.
