I should have listened to the review about the cheap fabric- love the shade and it works great, but the fabric is that kind of shiny polyester which would be fine for a room that doesn't get a lot of use!

Exactly what I'd hoped for! I closely read all of the reviews before pulling the trigger on these. I originally wanted cotton fabric shades but they were either too pricey or the design was annoying. These are a polyester fabric but the slight sheen of the polyester is only noticeable upon close inspection. They are nicely LIGHT-FILTERING which is exactly what I was looking for since they're for my sunroom. I pull them down once the sun is directly on the windows and the room is still full of natural light. The design of the shades is the best part about them though. They work like cellular shades and stay where you raise or lower them. Very handy function! Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Great for the price! These curtains are a BREEZE to install; and the up/down option is really quite splendid... But the material is polyester- NOT cotton -- so they look a little cheap when you put them up, and one of them the stitching came un-done after only being up a few days. Alas, they were really great for the price, and I"m adding more dramatic and fancy curtains to make things look a little more stylish. I would still recommend them!

Just what I wanted I needed Ran shades for my front windows and these have worked out great. They were easy to install, and allow a lot of light into the room during the day, while allowing privacy. The only con is the manufacturer puts an orange sticker on the window side of the shade, which is pretty annoying in its removal. I used my blow-dryer to warm up the sticker, which made it less difficult to remove.

Elizabeth - Wisconsin I have two windows on the side of my house that are extremely close to my neighbor's garage. For a long time, I have been trying to hide the ugly white siding view. I LOVE these Roman Shades. The light still comes in, the view is gone and there are no hanging cords. Plus the white shades were easy to install!

I highly doubt it. These cordless shades rely heavily on gravity to help them work and I do not believe that they were designed to be hung "upside down". Believe that you will have to find some that are really made to do that function, I have seen them somewhere.
