Black out is misleading I purchased 2 of these for my teen daughters rooms. They are NOT blackout at best diffused. We needed to remove them and install honeycomb black out shades instead. They are crisp and bright, well made. However if you are looking for a blackout do NOT purchase this.

These are not cordless! I bought these for my small kids' rooms because they were supposed to be cordless--hence the product name "Cloud White Cordless Fabric Roman Blackout Shade." The shades just arrived and they are absolutely not cordless. I'm attaching pictures to show the cords and the warning label saying they're not cordless. What a waste of shipping and time. Also, they're pretty cheap looking, but they do look as I expected for the low price.

The shades are pre-mounted to the mounting hardware and there are clips to mount it inside or outside of your window.

"Are these cordless or not? It says it in the title and the photo doesn't show strings, but in the description is says "Shade is not cordless" and one of the reviews shows photos of the cords and warning labels (from a customer that said they were not cordless). I don't want to waste money to ship back if they are not cordless."

Yes these are cordless and work great. My problem with these shades is the material. It is made out of vinyl fabric (as in the old roll up shades). They are fully black out and function perfectly but the white color is really like a faint light gray. I attempted the Cloud White Cordless (not black out) and they are a beautiful clean bright white but you can see right through them because they are so sheer.

There seems to be some sort of cord system inside/behind the shade, but there are no visible cords on the front and nothing hanging down. I have it in my son's room and feel very safe about it.
