Looks can decieve! It looks bigger in the photo (for some reason) and I didn't look at the description to see how tall it was. It's okay for me, though. The real deception is that the description say it can take a 100 watt bulb, but the sticker on the lamp says "Max 60W." I suspect that, if you're going to use a compact florescent bulb or a LED bulb, you can use a 100 watt-equivalent, since they actually use less wattage. It's a nice-looking lamp, overall. I'm okay with it.

Okay but Just received the lamps - VERY quick shipment. I was a little surprised at the color of the bases. :Looking at the picture I thought the bases were closer to black but they are clearly a shade closer to copper. I double checked and the description does call them antique bronze. Guess I should have paid more attention to the words and less to the picture. I planned to use them with a black metal headboard - have to find another place.
