We bought this bed to accommodate our king size adjustable beds which equal a king. Our mattresses are 9" foam gel Bobopedic with a low profile box spring. The slats are low to the ground. Actually the whole bed is. Your pet can't get under there. You can get a swifter dust mop under there. If your cat gets in there when bed is up he will not get hurt but I'm sure they will fear the motor sound and run. I provided a picture. I'm not messy just showing what my bed is

Gorgeous! Our bed arrived quicker than expected and what a gorgeous piece of furniture. My husband put it together with very little help from me in about 1 hour. Only one issue was one of the bolts, the threads were screwed up, but luckily we keep those kind of things in our house! We decided to run to the local big box hardware store for ply wood to lay on top of the slats for extra support for our King mattress. We love our new bed and it certainly makes our bedroom even more inviting ;) !

I Love This Bed This Is one sturdy bed. It's solid wood and the finish is beautiful. It's easy to assemble. I would recommend a bunky board or a sheet of Masonite over the slats to provide more evenly distributed weight and extend the life of any foam mattress. Also, it is very low profile, there is zero room to use under the bed and the head board is very very low so if you like pillows at all, the head board is covered. The quality is excellent, I am overall very happy.

awesome theis bed is solid wood very easy to put together and the quality is way better than expected.. solid hevay wood good support and really easy to put together... the only thing i would suggest is adding to 8 inch wooden supports at the ends of the cross beam support.. the include 2 and im sure its enough but it was simple enough to cut 2 pieces of wood the same size as the leg stands they give you and just add them to the end of the cross supprot beam with a drywall screw honestly this whole thing took 20 minutes including adding the 2 extra supports... i can not emphasize enough how good the quality is and how solid this bed is... and how easy it was to assemble

Exceeded Expectations!! Purchasing from Great Offer Stock was a great experience - my first time. Placed order, received confirmations, tracking info etc. Bed arrived just as Great Offer Stock stated it would. Received all parts and hardware. Assembly was very easy and took me by myself about an hour and a half to remove from boxes (3) carry upstairs from garage and assemble. I had a 2x4 so I cut and added a couple more 7" supports. We could not be happier with the purchase. The bed is solid, nice color and we love the low profile. We will definitely be making more purchases with Great Offer Stock.

It is great. I purchased the king size bed. After reviewing the other reviews, I took the advice and purchased some additional supports for the wooden slat that goes horizontal at your head and foot. So here is what you need to do. Go to a home depot or Lowes store and I spent nine dollars even. Get one wooden 2" by 4" and have it cut (at the store you bought it at...for free) into two seven inch pieces. Do not cut them anymore or any less. My bed had extra screws but you will need two longer WOODEN screws but I did not know that before hand. the screws provided are not long enough to go through all the wood and grip your support piece. An 8" screw will do just fine. NOTE: Pay attention to the instructions while placing your wooden support slats down. YOUR SINGLE VERTICAL PIECE SHOULD BE PLACED UNDERNEATH THE HORIZONTAL PIECES. If you place the other way around your support pieces will not work. There are no guide marks or guide lines that encourage placement of the horizontal wooden support slats. Honestly, you don't need them, All you need to do is (read the instructions) and place your foundation support slats down first with your two provided supporting beams and the two additional ones you made. Then place ALL of your other horizontal wooden pieces down first and do not screw them in. This should give you a good sense of how to evenly space the out. All in all. the put together phase is not hard at all. I did it by myself! Like most of the other reviews stated, the bed is solid and looks great. I am an athletic man that stands at 6 foot 4 inches and 230 pounds. The bed is not moving at all. There is no cricks or noise when I move around in it. Your late night sessions should be well supported! Its a platform bed so get sheets that compliment the bed style. The bed comes in three boxes and took me about an hour to put together. I have no complaints about the bed at all. I LOVE THE BED!!! The only complaint I have is the UPS driver said greatofferstock.com identified the weight of the three boxes at one pound each. This delayed my order because their manning is adjusted by the weight of each package. I just purchased the Alsa night stand and will also purchase the other accompanying items with this bed to complete my room.

All horizontal boards are on top. In the diagram, the vertical board is on top and screwed to the two horizontal boards. Then you flip it over to install into the bed frame, adding the remaining horizontal boards
