Ok but under delievered The bed is comfortable enough. Disappointed with the fact we unpacked it let it set up for several days and it only raised to 8 in instead of the 11 as advertised. The is our second Gel memory bed the one before was a queen (different manufacture & source) so we knew how to set it up. We have had it for several weeks now so 8 in is how we will be.

Aloe Gel Mattress Now at first you're probably thinking, "Do I want to buy a mattress from Peter Brady?". Well yes, yes you do. It's super soft, yet firm enough to give some support. It shows up rolled into a taquito, after you open the package it puffs up like a Ballpark frank! Takes a few hours to reach full on Stay Puft, but it sure is cool to check out. My daughter loves this thing, we thought it was hard to get her out of bed on weekends before, now it's worse than pouring honey in winter. Now about this Aloe Gel stuff, our daughter doesn't think her skin is any softer from sleeping on it, but we have only had it a month. On a scale of A to 10 it's a big thumbs up!!

Goodbye back pain I've been seeing a chiropractor for 9 months, often twice per week. not as firm as I expected, first experience buy expected the matress to be firmer than what arrived when freed from its packing. Certainly designed for an adult to lie down on that's for sure. I put a mattress protector on mine just to keep the entire mattress pristine. The lining it comes with seems thin and delicate. I wouldn't want to run it through the washer multiple times. I have no advice on the gel.

I always use s mattress pad or cover. Never know what might happen to a child who brings contraband red juice into the bedroom or a dog with muddy paws. I actually use one that is waterproof which can easily deal with possible issues and is washable.

We ordered another brand of memory foam mattress (which is quite comfortable). But, it seems a little low for the bed that we put it on. It was an 8". Plus it is for my husband who is heavier and I think he needs a little more. I sleep on my daybed so the 8" will be perfect for me. My husband also sweats a lot so I think the cool gel on this will work well for him. I also liked the reviews for this. I just hope it's not too comfortable because I will get jealous and he may find his bed missing one day.
