I bought this unit to use during a construction project. I did buy additional filters to put on the back intake, knowing there would be drywall dust, etc. It does the job of keeping the workspace @ 75* during 100* plus days. It puts out almost 5 gallons of water per 8 hrs., if you plan to use it daily like I do I'd definitely suggest getting the hose connection and hose that fits the dehumidifier output and get a 5 gal bucket for drainage. It was easy to fit the air discharge out the window after I put peel and stick foam (like you use to close gaps in doors, comes in a roll like tape) on the top and bottom...perfect fit.
