I find between 10 and 15 pieces of yarn from this rug around my house every day. I have had it about a month and it already looks awful from the shedding.

I absolutely LOVE the color and softness of this rug! I absolutely HATE the way it sheds and how impossible it is too clean... even with a Dyson Animal vacuum!!!! If you live alone and keep shoes off in the house, or don't have pets, kids, or put it in a low traffic area it might be a good purchase. But if you have pets, kids, or have it in a place where it can get dirty save yourself the frustration. It sheds constantly and gets stuck on heels, in pet paws, and clogs up vacuum cleaners like crazy. If it weren't for the shedding I would give it a higher rating because of color and softness. I'm retiring this one and purchasing a replacement for our living area because of the shedding and difficulty cleaning. If you do purchase one, use the flat or raked upholstery attachment on your vacuum; do not use anything that has brushes which spin on it. I'd recommend shaking it out, but it's really heavy and needs at least 2 strong people to do so.

It's an odd rug. It's made out of long yarn! Tons of shedding. Don't waste your money.

this rug is beautiful. I put it in the Tinker bell room and I couldn't be more happier.

This is shedding all over the place! I have a dog and his nails are pulling out the strings. Not a durable rug! Don't buy if you have a dog or a strong vacuum because that will pull out the strings too!

This rug was very thick and heavy, and well worth the price. The color was beautiful.

Color is fine, the size is good, and it hides a lot of dirt in the entryway, but there are shag pieces all over the first floor. I don't think this is gong to last very long.

You always get what you pay for. I am not unhappy with this rug. The shag make it a little difficult to deal with but then again, I ordered shag.

Love the rug, but if using on tile you will as they say in description, need a pad to keep rug in place. Love rug and color.

Unfortunately I did not read all the reviews prior to ordering. They arrived in a plastic like burlap bag folded up in squares (just as another customer posted) BUT, these are not carpets, they are more like a blanket. EXTREMELY thin and no pile like the picture. Remember the woven loop pot holders we made as kids? YEP, that's exactly what these look like. And.. I refuse to pay the 30.00 return shipping charges. They have a misleading description of this item. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

Love this comfortable shag rug! It never fails; I alway receive many compliments on this rug which I bought in the sage color. My daughter in law loved it so much that she went ahead and ordered it in the silver gray color to go with her modern beautifully decorated apartment. So now we both have beautiful shag rugs that give our homes a very welcoming cozy look.

This rug looks nothing like the picture! It doesn't lay flat and the edges are crooked. It also looses the wool. My dog likes it though

I was very shocked when this rug was delivered all folded up into a square in a plastic sack. I never thought a RUG could be FOLDED into a SQUARE !! When I open package I thought I received the wrong item because it looked like a blanket. I took it out of the package and unfolded it and sure enough it was a shag "rug". Now I know what "hand woven" means. The bottom of the rug looks like a "woven" blanket. The top of the rug isn't what I describe as shag but more like a bunch of yarn threads sticking up somewhat close together. I bought it for my bedroom so it won't get much wear and tear thank goodness. I am keeping it only because I don't want to go to the trouble of shipping it back.

i got the shag and it's a lovely color. it sheds just a tiny bit but nothing frustrating, you'll see a little foam here and there. it vacuums right up and i only just vacuumed it for the first time so i suspect it won't shed anymore. it's so soft and brightens up the room.
