  "Would these curtains be suitable for a kitchen or is the material too shiny? I have been looking for some inexpensive, leaf print curtains to go in the kitchen of an old farmhouse that my husband and I have recently inherited. The windows are 78" wide and 48 " long and I was planning on ordering 2 63" length panels for each window and just hemming them. The price, width, leaf print and green color all look like what I have been trying to find. I also liked that they were lined and machine washable. .Would really appreciate your opinions!!! Thanks!!!!"

    I believe they could work in a kitchen. However, in a rustic farmhouse they might be a little too fancy. You are correct, the material is shiny. I agree, they are an incredible price and quality that you can't beat. Mine are in my dining room and they are perfect. Couldn't be happier. I hope this helps you!

    I wouldn't put them in the kitchen ...Kitchens have a tendency to get a bit greasy... I don't think this material would do well in that kind of conditions... but I love them in my other rooms.

    I think they may be a bit formal for a kitchen. I originally bought them for the living room but had a change of color schemes and now have them in a bedroom. They're a great value.....just beautiful!

    I have mine in my front room, look good there. I wouldn't like them in my kitchen or dining room. Also I have 2 panels, but 3 or 4 would be more attractive as it is not full enough.

    You would need about 5 panels (150"), or 6 depending on the amount of gather you prefer. I bought two panels for two windows that are about 28" wide, they gather nicely. I hope this helps. These are really nice curtains.
