This rug is very cute and looks just as pictured. The material itself is soft, however it is much thinner than i thought it would be. I replaced a smaller area rug in my living room with this one, and my old rug was way more thick. I have bamboo laminate flooring on a cement slab and so my floor is very hard. I wanted a larger area rug to cover more ground-especially for my grand nephew who is starting to crawl. The rug is so thin though, it hardly adds cushion. Right now i put my old rug and carpet padding under this rug and it helps to add cushion. I will need to buy a carpet padding to fit this rug and then i think it would be perfect.

The colors portrayed on the website are accurate. I didn't want to be shy about color and this rug certainly makes a statement. I ordered the 8' x 10' so that it could run about a foot underneath the gray sectional. I would definitely recommend buying a nice thick rug pad with a rubberized side if you are placing on top of a hard floor surface. It adds a nice cushion of protection and keeps the rug from shifting. The rug seems like it is very good quality but it definitely had some wrinkles from being rolled. I simply followed instructions found online by carefully using a damp towel and a steam iron to relax the rug and eliminate the wrinkles. Take your time and be gentle so you do not damage the rug. The added effort will make it look far more luxurious than its price tag.
