Exactly what I was looking for I absolutely love this item. I recieved it in the mail today and was extremely happy and excited to put it together. It was packaged perfectly so that there was no dent in the shade which was a worry of mine for purchasing online. They take pride and care in every shipment. At first glance the lamp does appear black unless you look really closee which I'm OK with. I will recommend this to everybody.
