Although the back of the couch is not high for us tall people, the quality of the construction and leather is wcellent. smooth operation of the electronics.

When I first got this, the leather looked too shiny and fake. And I was used to a lever recline instead of power recline. Now I really love it. After the leather is broken in, it still feels good and natural. I have a dog who sleeps on it everyday and the leather stands up to claws. The power recline is also preference and make sure you have an outlet to plug in.

Excellent quality! This sofa has a very faint Merlot color under the brown. It reclines easily and is very comfortable! Clearance to a wall is about 2.5" so you can just about put it right up against the wall. Mine floats in a large living room, if you are standing further than about five feet away; from the front (at the floor) you can see the black metal bar. Not a big deal in my opinion. In the back you can see the metal bar, wires etc that power it, which is a little more unsightly. Although easily hidden if wanted by a sofa table or a pair of chairs against the sofa facing out as I did. My husband is 5'10" if he uses this as a recliner his feet (from the ankles down) hang off the foot rest. If he slides himself up he can not rest his head. Slight problem if wanting to use in lieu of a reclining chair. Get the warranty for $*** for five years the total order! Its 100% worth is especially with a powered sofa.
