This is liquid, not like a regular candle I haven't tried it yet. I don't know if it is supposed to be liquid, or if it melted by accident. I would be interested to see other reviews.

Nice for emergencies I would rate this a 3.5. I put this with our emergency supplies and have been considering buying more. We lost power for several hours last weekend and I pulled this out to give it a try. Not quite as bright as I would like, but it was smokeless and odorless and guaranteed to work since it is a candle and no batteries required. It did its job by providing some light. I wouldn't pay $*for it again, but instead would invest in the (uco) candle lanterns for ease of portability.
