I bought this because my well runs on electric power, and I have had a lot of outages, thus no water. Prevention will supply water during storms. Seems to be durable.

Didn't expect to find this item here, but was very happy with the quality of the item once I received it. I later had to call to get a replacement pump hose and was sent one within days. Very happy with this purchase.

My family ordered this product to provide additional water at a week long remote campsite. Having additional water with us was a MUST for survival, so imagine our surprise after driving 2000 miles with a 400lb water barrel.... only to discover the pump supplied DOES NOT FIT WHERE THE THREADED BARREL CAP IS REMOVED! Although we were able to jimmy-rig the pump to work... it required cutting a small diameter hole thru the white plastic cap (permanently ruining it for future water storage use), epoxying the pump shaft thru this hole and wrapping the entire assembly with duct-tape to keep it secure. If only the pump supplied shared the same thread diameter as the barrel caps, this would be a great product. As supplied however, it is virtually useless.

Purchased for emergency bases. Don't need it , but have it for when I do need it.

It's a 55 gallon water jug. I filled it and the water holds. I bought this for emergency use as in "Natural Disaster" or "Distrastrous Election 2012". I hope I never have to use it.
