Bought this flash for my Nikon. As I am just a beginner when it comes to digital photography, I didn't really want to spend too much on a flash. It works well for what I use it for. No complaints.

Read MoreI wish I would have spent a little more and gotten a better quality item. Batteries exploded in item. I only use new batteries and this has never happened to me before on any product. Now after I use I remove batteries. The item DOES WORK WELL though. So I can't fault it for that. However it seems rather flimzy and I wouldn't use it for out-and-about photography. It suits my needs for family gatherings or night parties, but if you can get a more expensive item I would recommend you do that.
Read MoreI asked for this flash as a Christmas present... wanted an altenative to more expensive flashes that I've looked at on the internet. So far I am very pleased with the results. I am a novice photographer but so far the learning curve is rather quick for this flash. I also received a manual lense for christmas and this forced me to use the manual settings on the flash... Took me all of 1/2 hour to learn the settings and how/when to use them. I use this flash with a Nikon D40.

Read MoreA great looking flash for the price. Works great, pictures come out realy nice and bright compared to just using the normal camera flash. I highly recommend this flash.
Read MoreAfter shopping for a name brand flash for my Nikon digital I decided to try the Rokinon and save some money. While installing batteries I discovered the light duty construction of the flash. The plastic on the battery compartment door is noticeably thinner than my other name brand flash. The battery compartment door is only hinged on one side with just one tab to secure it in place. Caution should be used to avoid breaking what appears to be a delicate and irreplaceable part. The Nikon iTTL feature seems to work beautifully, probably more due to the Nikon camera than the Rokinon flash. The photos are great, evenly lit, no hot spots or dim backgrounds. The bounce and swivel features are as good as the name brand and it has a built in white relector as well as diffuser.I had no success using the flash as a slave to the on camera popup flash, so that will take some experimenting. That's more due to operator error than the flash.Seems like good value for a non-pro photographer.
