Last May I purchased the iPhone 6 plus, and I have been an apple customer for over 10 years, dating back to the iPod shuffle in 2005. As a return user of not just Apple, but the iPhone itself, there were certain expectations I had when purchasing the iPhone 6s. For college students like me, we rely on our phones for social connections, keeping up to date with homework, and staying on pace with the business world. In that past I had enjoyed my previous iPhone's because they were cutting edge and extremely practical for my work as a musician and as a college student. Evaluating the iPhone 6s, the criteria that were most important to me were design, speed, and battery life.
Design
The design of the 6 Plus is fantastic. It is slim and sheek, while maintaining its strength and durability. I purchased a cheap *** knock off case, and I have dropped my phone numerous times and there has never been damage. It is designed in a way that there is no wasted space. It boasts a large screen, while still easily fitting in my front or back pocket. It seems cumbersome at first in comparison to the iPhone 4 or 5, but after a week or two, I had adapted to the different size and weight, and much prefer it to former iPhone models.
Speed
The speed of the iPhone 6 Plus is second to none. I can maneuver from app to app without any problem, and can have many programs open at once without problem. This was important for me because I am constantly listening to music, and surfing quickly between apps using wifi and data. The small issues concerning speed on my iPhone, were fixed within days with either an app update, or a full software update.
Battery Life
The battery life of this model is above average for phone of it's type, but is not up to the level of some of the newest *** . It has been the issue I have had with iPhone's in the past, and is my only complaint with this model. The battery life however, is significantly better than iPhone 4 or 5S. With content texting, data usage, and music listening; I normally need to charge this phone by 5pm everyday. This issue can be minimized however with any sort of portable charger.
All in all, if you are in the market for a new smartphone, the iPhone 6 is the best choice. Apple has set the standard with the iPhone 6 and the others are just trying to catch up. All factors collectively considered, the design, speed, and battery life of this phone are second to none.
