I like the soft and strong hues and marks the Winsor & Newton produces on my artwork. Excellent quality!

The product was listed to contain 24 colors, each one different. Instead, I received 2 Thalo Blue and no Cobolt Blue. I was then told that the manufacturer "had changed the product to contain the colors that were shipped." I find it very difficult to believe that a manufacturer with a solid reputation like Winsor Newton would really put out a product that contained duplicates of one color with another color missing. My guess is that a batch of these were assembled incorrectly and the stock of that product was then sent to greatofferstock.com for sale. I have great faith in Winsor Newton but after this purchase, have less faith in greatofferstock.com as a source for top quality products.

I am a beginner but I still know the importance of using the highest quality you can afford! You get better results, which is a huge confidence builder. I knew to trust the Winsor & Newton brand, even in these Cotman student quality paints are superb. I have a set of the tubes, but the pans called me because-let's face it...they are easy..just pop it open and go. I bought these more for the ease of traveling to class, or out on the boat. I also wanted full pans -so I could use a larger brush. This set is perfect. It has a nice range of colors - just wish they'd do away with the white and maybe the black in these sets-kind of a waste. My only complaint, a minor one, is that there was no reference chart provided with the set, but that also means you can arrange your pans according to your liking. I ended up making my own, by saving the labels from the individually wrapped pans and taping it on a sheet of paper in the order that I arranged my set. I am totally pleased with this set and Great Offer Stock shipped it quickly too!
