I chose to buy this shoe to wear with an orange-red and white, wavy vertical striped dress I made from a vintage (1950's) pattern. The slingback, pointed toe, kitten heel design is perfect! I love the floral print, it keeps the outfit fresh and current while not looking like I stepped directly off a Mad Men episode. The heel on this shoe is a nude-pink color and not easy to see on the pictures on the website. It's really neutral, so you don't have to feel like you can't wear it with other colors. I am between a size 9 & 9.5 shoe depending on style/brand. I chose to go with the 9.5 due to the pointed toe and am so glad I did! My recommendation is to size up a half-size for comfort. If it ends up being a little big/loose, you can always stick a half pad (thin shoe pad) in the front to take up the extra space while still keeping things comfortable for your toes. (I sold women's shoes many moons ago, so I know of what I advise!) The outer fabric of this shoe is described as canvas but I found it to be a nylon matte satin fabric. It would work great for a dressier event (wedding party/or guest) but is still great for daytime attire. It doesn't immediately look like a formal satin shoe. You can totally wear this with a suit or dress to the office without raising eyebrows other than people complimenting you on your adorable shoes. The colors of the flowers are orange-red, yellow, peachy-pink and shades of lavender on a white background with green foilage. While the colors are bright, they are not overwhelmingly bright nor neon. The top side edge of the heel is a patent finish. The heel itself feels like its made of a shiny resin, so you don't have to worry about the heel getting mangled if you wear it in a gravel walkway, for example. The inside shoe linings and the sole of the shoe are man-made materials. The bottom sole of the shoe though, is made to look like it's leather and almost feels like it, too. It's soft like its made of suede, almost. Overall, this shoe is a great value, very cute and I recommend it!
