Works well for sports use and to keep warm while outside while shoveling 2 feet of snow that fell overnight. Very easy to layer for warmth because of how lightweight they but still keep you warm.

I have ordered these before and I got two pairs mixed up I was looking for the heavier weight one that you use during the coldest days of winter. These are mainly made for like around March or April when it's not so cold out or the beginning of fall September or October. But for the coldest days you would want to have your white ones. But all the long johns work great.
