Not even close.... I have had many down and down-alternative comforters over the years. This comforter is not even close to either type! It is closer in texture and material and FEEL to one of those cheap bed-in-a-bag (bedding set) comforters. The inner material feels more like the white fluffy foam/stuffing one uses to make throw pillows. Not happy with this comforter at all. Since I opened it, and cannot return it now, I've stuffed it inside a duvet and am trying to forget about it.

Just what I was looking for I wanted a very lightweght duvet insert and this product fully met my needs. I love the look of duvets but often feel they are much too hot. It will not fill the duvet and be fluffy but it is heavy enough for St. Louis.

Really NIce but not exactly what I wanted The comforter felt really nice, but when I got it I realized that it didn't have a cotton outer material which is one of the things that I wanted. I guess I didn't read the description carefully. I'm not sure it it's really true, but I had read that if you get hot when you sleep, cotton is the better material.

Lightweight comforter Please be aware that when you receive this comforter, the packaging doesn't have any of the words written on this product description. What is written on the label is: Casa Andrea Milano Goose Down Alternative Duvet Insert/Comforter. Also, the size says Full/Queen 88 x 88. Not 88 x 90 as the product description on Great Offer Stock reads. When I received it, I called Customer Service because I wasn't sure if this is what I ordered, or if it was a mistake. The person was very nice, and said I could return it. I decided to re-order, as I really wanted the comforter that everyone had reviewed so positively. The second one to arrive was the exact same thing. My concern was mainly the size. I had just purchased a duvet cover from Pottery Barn that was 88 x 92 and I was concerned this one at 88 x 88 would be too small. Well, it fits just fine, there is no noticeable size difference between the cover and the comforter insert. Also, the weight is perfect for summertime (probably year round as I live in San Francisco). Great buy and quality. I am pleased!

Good for the price It shipped fast, price was great. The only slight downside is that it doesn't quite cover the sides of our mattress, however our mattress is SUPER thick so I think that's going to be a problem for us no matter which brand we buy.
