Made from a very crisp-feeling cotton fabric, but definitely not sateen. I wouldn't go so far as to call the texture rough or stiff, but it is so crisp (even after washing) that it lacks softness. The color is quite different from the screen image. On our computer, the duvet appeared to be a consistent,even-toned ivory color in background with tan and dark red accents. In reality, the background is beige/tan with fine cross-hatching lines in ivory. The leaves are grey to grey-brown and the petals are more wine-colored, again with a hint of brown. All of the patterns have a "stamped on" appearance due to the crisp outlines. The duvet and shams are fitted with zipper closures, not button as noted in the description. I like it well enough to keep it, but it is not exactly as described by Great Offer Stock. I do believe the set will hold up well as it seems to be well sewn with good zipper closures.
unfortunately I returned this item as the colors were not as bright as I had hopes. The product was made beautifully, right down to the zipper on the shams (which helps them keep their shape). It just was not what I wanted.
So .much prettier than the picture. Absolutely love it!
Up close in person, this is just an ugly pattern! I didn't even take it out of the plastic. Sent it right back.
Darker than the picture its more of a tan and olive.
Color is darker than picture...not sure about it yet...it's a gift
