These are not the best sheets I've ever owned, that award goes to Sheex that cost about 4X more, but they are the best for the money. I almost returned them because they felt a little scratchy for satin sheets in the package, but after one trip through the washer that concern went away. They have the slippery, shiny, cool texture one expects from satin sheets, which is my general preference. The only things I like better about the Sheex brand is that they have a seam on them so one always knows the correct orientation of the sheets when making the bed rather than doing it by trial and error and they also are a bit stretchy, which helps keep them from pulling out for those who sleep restlessly and like to keep one side tucked under the mattress.
