I bought this for my husband who is always hot while sleeping. He likes a cold room and now he has a cool bed to sleep on. Our mattress is a extra thick and the pad fit perfectly.

I did not want a thick pad, I wanted a mattress protector with the Outlast temperature balancing technology. We live in Southern Florida and it gets very warm. This does a great job. Very happy with this.

It does cool but too much especially in the winter

Not sure it has great cooling properties as I still overheat from temperpedic mattress. But it certainly has made slumbering a bit more comfortable

Wish I had read other reviews more carefully! Though well constructed, the fabric on the top was shiny, slick, and stiff. There was no softness to it, so It seemed unlikely it would have any cushioning effect. It may be good at cooling, but I just couldn't get past the feel of the fabric. Unfortunately, it cost nearly $* to return it.

Very comfortable and definitely has a cooling effect - doesn't get so hot like the previous one. Hugs the mattress and foam topper well without tearing.

Best mattress pad we have ever bought

I have to admit, I was skeptical but after sleeping on the mattress pad, it was cool and very comfortable. The skirt around it is awesome bc it really hugs the mattress. Don't wake up hot from the memory foam mattress.

However it does evetually retain heat but if you move around it cools quickly

I am disappointed because it is very rigid and I don't know why it's marketed as cooling.
