Protect-A-Bed Luxury Waterproof Tencel Mattress Protector

I bought this for my new cal/king mattress. I wanted something that fit well & wasn't bulky. It is perfect.

Ting negative. They aren't the bug barriers that the regular ones are. However I don't like air conditioning so it's a help

I've used these mattress protectors for years on my TempurPedic bed. They do an excellent job at protecting the memory foam Tempur mattress from accidental spills from midnight snacks and coffee in bed! When the originals wore out I began shopping for replacements. By purchasing from Great Offer Stock saved quite a bit of money over other vendors. Bear in mind, these are expensive, no matter what, but Great Offer Stock beat the price of others.

I use this on all my beds. I have a 3 year old that even peed couple of times and nothing went through! Definitely recommend this if you want to save your mattress.

It's that good!!! Always breathable, never crinkly, extremely soft to the touch, and durable over many washings, don't hesitate to splurge a few bucks on a better mattress protector. This one is totally iimpervious to liquid, and has proven that to me on at least four occasions (blush!!)

I first used one of these waterproof mattress protectors when we bought our Tempurpedic bed a few years ago. I like that it's thin...you don't even know it's there and makes no noise while sleeping on it but protects the mattress. They are pretty costly but to me it was worth the price

The mattress protector is very thin and water proof as it claims. It fits my 18" mattress with enough stretchy material to keep it in place. However, I am disappointed with the 2nd polyurethane (waterproofing) layer, it doesn't allow your mattress to breathe effectively. I end up sweating every morning when I wake up. I am using it on a Tempurpedic Cloud Lux Breeze which is designed to draw excessive body heat through the mattress and allow you to sleep much cooler. Without the cover I never wake up sweating. So what are you going to do? Risk soiling your mattress and voiding your 20 year warranty without a mattress pad or play it safe. I am still in search of something that is more breathable.

I bought a cheap waterproof mattress-pad in the past, and it felt like you were sleeping on a plastic sheet: you could hear it crinkling, and it didn't breathe at all, making it very hot to sleep on. A salesman at a mattress store recommended one of these, and stated the the more-expensive ones didn't have those problems. We bought this version for around $*, as opposed to the $*version (same materials) that he was selling. Seems MUCH softer than the cheap versions. It has a little plastic-y feel to the bottom side, but the top is soft to the touch, and no audible crinkling noises. Being winter, heat is not an issue, but we have not yet tried it in warm weather.

I replaced the one I had that I purchased from ******* with this one. It fits snug on the mattress making the sheets smooth and comfortable. The only disappointment is it was a bit thin but still works much better than the one I had.

This is perfect for us, as we wanted waterproofing only for the top of the mattress, to protect it and our featherbed from sweat and body oil. However, if you need waterproofing along the sides, too, then you would want to purchase a different product, because any large amount of liquid is going to spill over the sides and be able to penetrate the mattress in that way. I did test the top of the fabric before putting it on the bed by pouring some water onto it, and the water stayed there for more than an hour and never penetrated at all. (I had a paper towel underneath the spot where I'd poured the water, and the paper towel stayed perfectly dry.) The thin waterproof coating that's underneath the top side of this protector makes no noise at all once it's on the bed, and also does not make you feel as if you are sleeping on top of a piece of plastic or rubber, as it does seem able to breathe even though it's waterproof. The fit is perfect. I'm very satisfied with my purchase of this product.

Love the concept of using all natural products as opposed to the usual plastic. Sadly, the first time my son had an accident, it leaked through. WAY too expensive for it to leak.

I wanted something to protect my mattress from stains that didn't crinkle or feel like plastic, and that was easy to put on. This protector is very soft. The waterproofing is a very think coating on the back - it does make the fabric a LITTLE crinkly when it's not on the bed, which was not my preference (I prefer a fabric like the AllerEase fabric, where the waterproofing is integrated into the fabric itself all the way through) but they don't make a fitted-sheet style cover). However, the plastic coating on this cover is much thinner than usual, so I find it truly is not noticeable once it's on the mattress. A lot of the covers that have nice fabric these days (including the AllerEase products) are "encasements" that go all the way around the mattress to prevent allergens and bed bugs. If all you want is a stain protector, that's overkill, and a lot more work to get onto the mattress, so I was very happy to find this fitted-sheet style cover. Great product!

This matress cover is one of the best ones I have ever purchased. I have bought much more expensive ones but the quality you get for this price is better then the more expensive ones. The material is very good and overall we would recommend this product to anyone

I purchased this mattress cover because I knew it was an approved mattress protector by Simmons for warranty purposes. I have no idea why it was so expensive. It looks to me to be a rather simple product of simple design. I haven't spilled anything on the bed to test the product out, nor do I have intentions to do so. I suppose if after a few months there aren't yellow stains resulting from night sweats on the new mattress I purchased, then I can say it does what the manufacturer claims it does.
