I LOVE this duvet cover. I am a fan of upscale hotels, and this cover makes me feel like Im sleeping in a *** every night! It is seriously chic and stylish, soft and high quality. I have other *** covers that cost the same as this and they are only 300 threadcount, and for the same price you can get this 1000 threadcount set. I LOVE IT. The only complaint is that it doesnt have internal ties to keep the duvet in place, so I just sewed some shoelaces in each inside corner and it works like a charm! I am IN LOVE WITH MY BED. YOU MUST BUY THIS!!
This duvet is very thick and beautiful. I ordered the king sized ivory. However, it only reaches about three inches on each side of the bed so I was constantly pulling at it in the middle of the night. I had to take it off. It would be a better fit for a queen sized bed.
I just received this duvet cover and shams. The fabric is lovely and the duvet has a substantial feel to it. There is a soft sheen on my gold colored duvet. I have a queen bed, one mattress only, no Bo's spring and the bed is low to the ground. So I was looking for a duvet that wasn't to wide. Many on line and in stores are oversized. This duvet is 88" wide and perfect for my very contemporary bed. Measure carefully because a more traditional bed with box spring may require a wider duvet. The shams also are not oversized and I had to stuff my pillows into them. If your pillows are too big it may cause the seams on the sham to pucker (there is a decorative flange). I'm very pleased given my needs. Also, gold is a difficult color to find right now but looks great with grey.
I ordered the King duvet cover in white - they are very high quality and nicely made. However they are very heavy which I did not expect.....I have never purchased 1000tc Egyptian cotton before so maybe it is always like that. I like a higher thread count for my linens but it's usually 500. Living in Southern California it doesn't get as cold at night as it does in other areas so the heaviness of the cover, even over a light weight comforter, makes me too hot. Also the pillow shams open on the end instead of the middle which gives them an uneven look on the bed. If you are looking for a heavier cotton then you will be happy with these. They will probably last for a very long time!
Got the Sage color and I love it. It is a perfect color green. Not too bright. Not too muted. A bit shiny cause of the thickness. Looks and feels very luxurious. I have bought a 1000 thread count before and they lasted me 10 whole years before piling. So now having to buy my 2nd set I have been paranoid that I won't get the same quality as I did the first time around. I received the sheets today and I have put them through their first wash. I thought they felt pretty soft straight out of the package considering higher thread count sheets take many washes to get soft. Soft but still a bit stiff as to be expected. I feel these are high quality sheets as they are a 1 ply weave which means it is authentically a 1000 thread count. 2 ply or 4 ply are the manufactured way to account for 1000 threads but not really having it per square inch. I will update review when I have put it through several washes to see if it softens more out as its supposed to.
I love this Duvet Set, I now have 3 of the colors. I love to mix and match with my Sheet Sets, also from Great Offer Stock. These are true 1000 thread count quality linens. I have the White, Burgandy and now the Gold; they are beautiful in color, rich in feel and wash great. You can't go wrong with this set, it is well worth the price. Don't even hesitate about purchasing these linens, you can't even compare them to those offered in the retail stores, the same would be twice or more the cost. Being quality Egyptian cotton, the more you wash them the softer they get without any of the usual problems like pilling that you get with cheaper linens. My one weakness is great linens; I feel we all have such hectic lives that to sink into luxury at night to sleep is an absolute necessity! The only way to get better quality linens is to buy Egyptian cotton that has been woven in Italy; now that's luxury!!! (But at $1000 to $1500 a set is too steep for my budget) These are a great middle ground at a wonderful price I can live with.
Amazing Quality and feels like Silk! Very fine cotton and large king size pillow shams. Looks very Luxurious and refine quality of the 1000 thread Count Duvet... a Must Buy at this price to Quality!
I've never owned egyptian cotton bedding before. I purchased this duvet set, and the sheets/pillow cases with the same thread count, and I am very happy. I can understand now why people get EC sheets/bedding, and why the thread count makes a difference ... I would say anything over 800 will make you pretty happy, and be VERY silky soft! High quality product - I would recommend.
I love this duvet cover set and love the sage color! I also bought the 1200 thread count sheets that match perfectly. The quality is wonderfully rich and luxurious, heavy weight, which is exactly what I wanted. It is also soft to the touch with very sturdy stitching and nice buttons. The size is extra large so there is enough to hang over on either side of my king bed including the end of the bed. The only thing I wasn't too happy about was that the cat sleeps on my bed and must have dug her claws in to the material and pulled several threads, very upsetting, on my new duvet cover....however, once I washed it the threads smoothed out, and I couldn't even tell. Best ever!
I was looking for a new white duvet with some substance. I found it! This duvet is well-made, soft, and actually fits my king-sized down comforter! It has a little extra fabric at the sides so it hangs over the sides of the bed unlike my last "king-sized" duvet which was just slightly larger than the top of the mattress. The shams have an opening at the end rather than the middle which makes for an easy insertion of the pillow. I would recommend this duvet to anyone who likes the feel of European sheets at a fantastic price!
I purchased the 1,000 thread count sheet set and after loving them, had to complete the set with the duvet cover and I love it just as much...Stitching amazing and the feel is excellent! It even comes with two shams that I didn't see in the overview - a bonus. Only suggestion is to be a little careful of the color of the one we got which was labeled taupe - sort of looked like coffee in the picture - is a little more on the gold side...but other than that - amazing.
I was surprised by the weight and thickness that this set had! I also have 1200 thread count sheets and couldn't tell the difference in the two, even though this is 1000 thread count. We ordered the large and the shams are huge for King size pillows, as well. It is ample size to fit the duvet.
The duvet cover is made of excellent Egyptian cotton, comfortable and long lasting, I had it for over half a year and it had been in the wash for several times, it is very durable and still very comfortable to snuggle at night. Great product and strongly recommend.
This duvet cover and pillow shams are exactly what I was looking for - soft and sturdy. Will purchase sheets next.
This is a nice duvet set. The materiel is very nice as long as you like the shiny/slick look and feel. The only thing I don’t like are the pillow shams. The edges are kind of floppy and the backs should have a button or something to keep the pillow in, but they don’t.
This duvet cover is made of rich, thick Egyptian cotton that washes beautifully,
these are actually a little better than the egyptian cotton 500Tc sateen sheets. They are a little bit heavier than i'm used to, bc of the 1000TC but they are still soft enough to be comfortable against my skin, and they seem to be of good quality. since it is summer now i haven't really been using it. i only washed it once and covered my down comforter with it and put it away for winter. The feel of the duvet seemed nice i just hope it is durable and will hold up for a few years without pilling. I've had my original duvet cover back in the old days when they didn't charge you an arm and a leg for good quality sheet sets, for more than 10yrs! I had to repalace it with this one after it started to rip. Did i mention my cover had a zipper at the end? And it didn't rub against our skin, it was hidden very well made. I believe i bought it full price at Bed Bath and Beyond. They don't put zippers anymore, only buttons, that constantly come off after a few washes. That's been my experience.
Thick, upscale feeling duvet. I can't get over how much of a difference a good quality duvet makes to how cozy my down comforter feels. My only complaint is the pillow covers don't stay closed and so my pillows start to pop out; but the fabric is SO nice I don't mind the minor inconvenience. I love it!! Update: just bought a second set for my daughters bed. She loves my cozy bed and now she has her own! The comforter stays in place even without ties.
I am always reluctant to write a review before I have actually laundered an item. In the case of the Egyptian Cotton 1000 thread count Duvet I came right to my computer after pulling it out of the dryer and making my bed! It was gorgeous when I opened it and it is even more to my liking now. It had a bit of sheen to it brand new but after laundering (no bleach and medium heat only!) it took on a nice matte finish. I am actually going to order another set right now!
I love how soft my duvet is and how well it has washed up. It looks fabulous on my bed. I use it under another duvet because I have animals. Which leads me to my only complaint , since I have animals, their fur seems to stick to this duvet worse than any other duvets/sheets that I own. I am going to try not to use fabric softener and see if that helps... Overall, I would purchase this duvet again and would recommend it to others.
