Prior to this purchase I was using another memory foam topper that use to work great but let’s say ‘had seen better days’. I started researching foam toppers. A review on this site posted by ITMChris regarding body weight, density and inch of the foam, helped me make my decision.
I let if air out for two days. After the first couple night’s sleep, I no longer felt certain pressure point aches I was having with the old set-up. I did notice it slept hot for me. I resolved this by putting a thin quilt over the topper, then my sheets, etc,,,. Since then, I have been waking up rested and with no pressure point aches.
If there are downsides, they would be: having to purchase sheets to now fit an 18 inch topper/mattress combo. (Oh my must I go shopping :>)); and not wanting to get out of bed. Yes there are mornings that I ‘snooze’ a few extra minutes, well okay sometimes more than a few. Catching a weekend nap on the couch is slowly losing it's place to the bed.
