"those this cause your bed to be a little higher?"
Wonderful and cozy, my only complaint is that the fabric seems a little thin and I can see the feathers inside but not that big of a deal or even a real issue. As this goes under my mattress protector however it is definitely not a problem and the topper helps for cold nights.

Down and feather-filled products are packaged tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove this item from its packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours for full loft recovery. In addition, products sealed in plastic packaging sometimes have a disagreeable scent because of concentrated natural fibers. A few hours of airing typically removes the odor.
We recommend that this item is fluffed at least once a week to maintain down distribution.

Not soft and fluffy!
There is no fluff to this at all, I folded it over so it would be a little better. It is duck also and the feathers come through and poke you. I had to put a fluffy blanket over it to stop from being jabbed in the nite. I don't recommend.

It is kind of thin for a mattress topper but I use it as a comforter.. it works out great.

This is really, really, really thin. If you are thinking feather bed this is not for you. That being said, it is a fair product for the price (I think I paid like $30). Just don’t expect added comfort, it is literally just thin layer. There are little feathers that poke out, as someone else mentioned in a review. I use it when I sleep on the couch so I’m not sleeping directly on the couch and then I have a cotton quilt over that. Works for my purposes.
